Goin' Green!!

That's right- I'm turning into a tree hugger. Ok, not really, but I am going green. I think that it is better for everyone that I do this. Better for the environment, others and our health. I have been thinking a lot lately that we need to be good stewards of what the Lord has given us... which in case you forgot, is EVERYTHING :) soooooo that being said, I want to to what I can to take care of the things he has blessed me with. He has blessed me with a body, so I am trying my hardest to eat mostly organically (not always possible) but at least healthy. He has blessed me with an absolutely adorable child- so I have been feeding him mostly organic food- and his almost always is... if only I can find something he loves as cheese crackers I'd be a happy lady! I've switched over to all natural soap/conditioner for him. I of course wait until the other stuff we were using runs out before we do this, otherwise I would be defeating the purpose of being a good steward! I have been trying my hardest to use reusable bags when going to the grocery store... but somehow they never make it back out to the car ;) I am using a new product on Silas called g-diapers. It is a biodegradable diaper that you can also flush and it sits in cute little cloth pants. I shall blog on these fabulous diapers in a future post. I recently purchased a Prius. We were in the market for a new car... it is incredible how much gas you save in this car... So far I have gone 400 miles on a 9 gallon tank!! I'm trying to do all of this to help save money, too.

Next, I need to update the banner on my blog... my one year old boy does not look anything like that little baby up there!
