title this.

Wow, I honestly cannot believe that I am in school once again. It seriously snuck up on me! I love the newness that the semester brings. Everything seems so achievable, and resolutions are always made about how this semester is going to be the semester- I will do all the reading, and I really will study! pfftttt- I think I will fall over dead when that actually happens.

I am quite excited about this semester, though. I am taking some great classes, but I am pretty nervous for each one of them. I am taking ASL3, which excites me because my teacher is deaf (I've always had a hearing teacher). He's young, and very sarcastic. I am scared for it though, because it has been about 4 years since I have taken ASL... I miraculously remembered quite a bit on our fist class- no voices allowed.

I also am taking Senior Capstone which is a class for seniors in my major (obviously, as the title suggests). I thought I would be writing a 30 page paper, which scared me, but I walk into class only to find out that he has upped it to 50 pages- terrifying to say the least!

The last thing on my plate, is Clinic, where I, the student, have to render services to a client. I have to provide therapy... so nervous. But I will be working with a young boy, so I am happy for that.

other classes are whatever, but still going to be difficult.

I am overwhelmed with work as usual, but I think I secretly like it that way- it gives me order and a schedule to stick to.

I havent seen my husband in a while, sadly. Disneyland wants us to visit.

Also, my dad is having surgery on Tuesday, which is getting more and more scary to me as I think about it more. Things will be great, though.

I bought a new bible today, a pretty green one. I didnt need a new one, but I bought it because I could, and because I wanted a new translation.

So with so much going on in my life, I found this verse to give me a little guidance:

"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer"- Romans 12:12

cleaning, no thanks.

I have a day off, and I sadly, have decided to clean mi casa (that's the most Spanish you will ever hear me speak). However, I have retreated to the computer as I began to clean off the desk. I dont like to clean. I lit some candals and am currently listening to the wonders of Seu Jorge from the Life Aquatic soundtrack... you know I must include a picture now

He plays the guitar quite well to say the least. Anyhow, I have errands, I need to deposit mail in the "to go" box so that Matt and I both can escape the jury duty that we were summoned to. Also going to go check and see if any W-2's have been sent my way. A day of errands and cleaning is no good. Sia live tonight though, can't wait, Sara Borrego (with two r's).

so many words, so little time.

So, music is nice. I took a trip to Fresno this past weekend, and my sister did not like to listen to anything that my mom and I like. She put on the Dresden Doll's "Coin Operated Boy"- a song entirely about a vibrator. quality? i think not. funny? kind of, but not the 3rd time in one day.

It was nice to see my great grandma... I think the last time I saw her was like 15 years ago, but I could be way off seeming how I just pulled that number out of nowhere, but it sounds great. I drove over 5oo miles that day, not the most I have put in though.

Next, I spent Sunday with the fam. Church was not something I participated in that day, my stomach was a little bit upset. I went to bfast with 2 of my bros and a sis- the vibrator song lover. Mimi's Cafe isn't the greatest, but I enjoyed the OJ, fresh squeezed!
(I also worked at my brothers SBUX that night... slower than my own store).

The next day, apparently a federal holiday (although I dont think that Biola would recognize it) we were supposed to have a family picnic. although we are white, that is not something we participate regularly in.  However, my dad wants to do things more as a family because he is having surgery (in respect to the cancer in his prostate) and is very nervous about making it through. But we dont need to worry. The wind spoiled that a bit, so we watched Mrs. Doubtfire in my sisters living room. haha it was even on VHS!!

So now I am here, lying around, lazily on my couch, watching American Idol rejects. Oh the lack of talent these obese Americans have. I love the fact that it is freely televised. I did clean the kitchen earlier, so I justify my mini retreat to the couch.

to end on the note I started with, I love music. I have found myself examining the lyrics of songs more and more. for a long while, I have mostly found beauty in the sound of the music, but now i am learning to love the words. Perhaps it is because I have been in the car so much lately, alone might I add. I respect musicians highly, and enjoy the fact that they make my heart so happy and my cheeks sore of smiles. Speaking of musicians... I miss Matthew. we are crazy. Am I boring alone?

ok the end.
